Distributed systemsDatabases and dataConsensus: Raft and PaxosReplication and consistencyNoSQL and document databases
Kyle Kingsbury presents Jepsen testing results on Cassandra's consistency, followed by Al Tobey's introduction to using Go with Cassandra.
This talk was given at the DataStax Cassandra SF Users meetup. As a part of the Jepsen project to educate users about distributed consensus, Kyle has tested Cassandra's behavior with respect to consistency, isolation, and transactions. The results may be surprising. Al will be presenting a brief introduction to Go (#golang) and Cassandra, and how they are a great fit for each other. This talk will include code samples and a live demo.
