Eric White explains how to use the OpenXmlRegex class to search and replace content in DOCX and PPTX files.

Explains and demonstrates the OpenXmlRegex class, which is part of PowerTools for Open XML. The OpenXmlRegex class enables you to search and replace content in DOCX or PPTX files via regular expressions. It supports documents that contain existing revision tracking markup, and it optionally creates revision tracking markup when it replaces content.

On “c# OpenXML search and replace text not saving”

I very luckily stumbled across the answer at 18:52 into the OpenXmlRegex youtube video (link to this video).. I need to call this PutXDocument() method on the MainDocumentPart for the changes to go into effect (instead of the doc.Save() I was trying to do) doc.MainDocumentPart.PutXDocument();
