This 1990 promotional video demonstrates Lotus Improv on the NeXT computer, showcasing its innovative approach to spreadsheets using named categories and dynamic views.
This is an impressive vision of an innovative and intuitive way to re-invent the spreadsheet rom 1990. Lotus Development worked on the new Improve spreadsheet for Ross Perot and Steve Jobs' NeXT computer. It was short lived but inspired the rebirth of Apple in 1997 from its Unix core. I had the opportunity to QA, test and use Improve on the NeXT before its release when I worked at Price Waterhouse with Lotus. What people say. Recommended as a nostalgic look at a highly innovative, forgotten spreadsheet design that went beyond the traditional grid.
