Rivaan Ranawat explains the architectural disadvantages and anti-patterns of using the GetX package for Flutter state management.
GetX is the most liked package in the Flutter Community but comes with it's own set of disadvantages. This video highlights some of the problems in this Flutter plugin. Some disadvantages are facts while some, personal opinions. The purpose of this video is to spread awareness about these limitations/problems, which make the plugin dangerous to use. Would appreciate not hating on the plugin based on what I say. Whatever happens, it takes time and effort to create such plugins. Put simply, Hooks are for intrawidget *local* state, and RiverPod is for interwidget *app* state (regional or global). (And GetX is horrible. Just stay away from that. See this seven minute video for "why not getx": link to this video
So I find myself using both hooks and riverpod in nearly every program I write.

getx is like putting training wheels on a motorcycle. Sure, it might help you get started, but watch out on that first turn, when you've gotta start leaning in to the corners.

On “GETX or not?”
…or testing capabilities, encourages flutter anti patterns and is way more bloated (just compare the number of API elements).
It IS a dick move to dunk on people using it but people should be made aware of the huge downsides of using it and the fact that it IS objectively worse than the others - before they go too deep down the rabbit hole.
