On “Tutorial request: explain Haskell to complete noob”

I think that Haskell is so different from most languages, that if your friend only knows basics of Java he should focus on learning Java first. If he absolutely wants to see how Haskell works I would tell him to watch this video - link to this video It's an hour long and explains all the basics of Haskell.

On “I have never programmed before and I was recently tasked by my school to use haskell, What’s the quickest way to pick it up?”

When I started out to learn Haskell, I used the following resources: 1. Learn You A Haskell This is available for free online and is one of the best resources which breaks up the concepts in easy and funny way 2. CIS 194 course - Spring 2013 edition I did the assignments from this course in adjunction with looking at the concepts required for each assignment in LYAH(Learn you a Haskell). I must say that though I read LYAH before I came across CIS 194, it was only after solving assignments that the ideas started building up. ----------------------------------------- That being said, if you want to look at what Haskell has to offer, you can have a look at ,this video. It practically…

On “Haskell tutorials”

Mucha suerte!!

On “Should I use VSCode?”

Downloaded HLS, but that doesn’t seem to change the issue. “:r” seems to be how the user in the tutorial recompiled. link to this video
