The creator of a 30-year-old QuickBASIC game reverse-engineers their original code, writes DOS assembly, and remakes it in Godot.
A streamer reminded me of a game I coded in Quickbasic when I was 13 years old. 30 years later, I rolled up my sleeves and tried to see if I could do better. My journey took me through pallete scrolling, assembly language coding in DOS Box, and finally into Godot for a modern remake.
