A demonstration of a VGA implementation for the ESP32 microcontroller capable of rendering 3D models in real-time.

This video shows a VGA implementation for the ESP32 micro controller that runs in the Arduino IDE. It is capable of rendering 3D-models in real-time and supports several screen resolutions. The ESP32 is tweaked beyond the specs to be able to achieve high resolutions, color count and performance. What people say. Recommended as a great example of generating VGA video signals directly from an ESP32 microcontroller.

On “Is it good to start with NES”

There are, but if you don't want to use a single board computer which gives you easy access to a HDMI output you might have to make a circuit yourself. Its not that hard to interface with a VGA monitor, there are lots of examples on the internet how to do this, I prefer videos so that is what I will provide links for. Bitluni: [video Ben Eater: [video James Sharman: [video Bitlunis approach is the most approachable since he uses a SoC/SoM (ESP32) which is a ready made microcontroller (with wifi/bluetooth) and some external chips or resistors, can't remember exactly. Ben Eater and James have built their own 8 bit computers, which as you might can imagine, is a bit of a learning curv…

On “The world's worst video card?”

This is awesome. If you want to go a level higher in abstraction [Bitluni has an awesome video and library for VGA video from the esp32, even with ] no extra hardware if you can deal with only 8 colors. If you're up for throwing a bunch of resistors at it you can get more.
