On “What did I miss?”

So so many things happened! Elixir 1.4 was good, but still very very early days compared to now. About tools: I think tools are about the same, you get support on most IDEs. I listed below some things you may have missed that are super relevant, but be sure to check the Elixir Forum and the elixir-lang website to check all releases. Also Valim usually gives talks to each new version saying what is new, check YouTube/ElixirConf for that. But also be aware that so so many libraries and frameworks around Elixir also matured since then, it's not just the language that grew. # Elixir Lang * Elixir has better debugging & better error handling (1.14) * Several several quality of life updates…

On “How can I write a compiler that compiles down to another language instead of machine code?”

Nx (Elixir) running in GPU (+ LiveBook) is very cool 😎 Some examples (although oriented towards ML, AI etc. with Axon, Bumblebee, etc. but you can use Nx alone) link to this video link to this video
