What people say. Recommended for developers building voxel-based game engines with physics and ray tracing.

On “1,000,000 pieces drawn with RX 580, Rust + OpenGL 4.6”

…pinch. especially tracking down bugs. After the box3d active objects settle, a variable timer, I bake them back into the voxel world. This keeps the Phusics body count low. There are probably better ways to do this, but this is the way I went and it is fine for what I want to do. Look at this teardown video is you are going the voxel route, [video There is a good Red Fraction Gorilla GDC talk, I cant find right now, that explains that each physics object, building, bridge, etc, and starts with a top down 1hz pulse checking for horizontal neighbours and the layer below to calculate the physics. Goos luck. feel free to ak ma any quastions and I'll try to answer them.…

On “Realtime Physics Demonstration in my SDF Game Engine”

In teardown basically every voxel is a small sphere (here is a detailed explanation if you're interested: [video (at about 1:10 he talks about physics)). Though on closer inspection at least your rendering looks like both objects are in the same "voxel-volume"? So my guess is that you can just detect overlap during the voxel creation?
