Jonathan Merritt shows how to compile and run examples for the Haskell Vulkan bindings on macOS Catalina using MoltenVK and SwiftShader.

This is a simple "getting started" video, showing how to compile and run the examples for the Haskell Vulkan bindings on macOS Catalina. It also describes running the loader with debugging logging, and using Google SwiftShader as an alternative ICD (Installable Client Driver) to MoltenVK. The Haskell Vulkan bindings I'm using: github.com/expipiplus1/vulkan The Vulkan SDK from LunarG: vulkan.lunarg.com/sdk/home The LunarG Vulkan loader documentation: vulkan.lunarg.com/doc/sdk/1.2.141.0/mac/loader_and_layer_int… MoltenVK on GitHub: github.com/KhronosGroup/MoltenVK SwiftShader (GitHub mirror): github.com/google/swiftshader NOTE: to compile SwiftShader, I had to supply -DSWIFTSHADER_BUILD_PVR=OFF to cmake. This is not clear in the video due to fast-forwarding through the build.
